Sally Roberts, EdD

Sally K. Roberts, EdD, has been a lecturer and assistant professor of mathematics at the Wayne State University College of Education since 1991. Prior to coming to Wayne State, she had more than 20 years' experience as a teacher and mathematics specialist in the Detroit Public Schools. In 2004, Professor Roberts received the "Outstanding Mathematics Educator of the Year" award from the Detroit Area Council of Mathematics. Professor Roberts has numerous publications in mathematics education and has presented papers on the GO-GIRL project at national conferences of the American Conference Speakers 2006 Children’s Conference 17 Educational Research Association, American Association of College Teacher Educators, the National Science Foundation, and the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics. Her research activity as principal investigator or co-principal investigator has garnered more than $1.8 million in grants to support mathematics and science education.
